Last Chance to Sign up for Our Composting Class!

Spring is in full swing on the farm! Each day new calves and lambs are born, the first batch of chicks moved from the brooder house to the pasture, and fresh dairy products are returning to the store. It’s such a beautiful, exciting time of year on the farm!

Composting Class

We love to compost and apparently you want to learn as well! We’ve had so much interest in the composting class that will be held at the farm, Saturday, April 30th and we’d love for you to join us.

This class will give you the knowledge of how to compost, plus you will walk away with your own home worm farm that is the perfect size for kitchen scraps.

When: Saturday, April 30th at 9:30 am

Where: Jako Farm

How much: $75 per family (only 2 adults per family group), the class fee, a home worm farm (with tub, worms, and bedding), and one Fed N Happy Worm Farmer t-shirt

How long: 1.5 hours

Our worm farmer friend, Dan, from Fed N Happy in Hutchinson will be teaching the class. His expertise will leave you feeling confident about how to feed your worms and how to use your compost that has been supercharged by the worms.

Whether you’re wanting to perk up that vegetable garden, get better blooms from your landscaping, or simply find a way to compost your veggies scraps instead of sending them to the landfill, this class is for you!

Fresh Cream!

We now have fresh cream in the store! While frozen cream is a great substitute during the winter months, there is something magical about putting that fresh cream in your coffee or on top of a bowl of fruit. Here’s to enjoying the beauty of seasonality!
