Daniel: How we’re handling things
There’s been a surge of customers coming to Jako Farm in the past few weeks. Seems like everyone is stocking up just in case we all need to stay home.
There’s also been a huge resurgence of customers who haven’t been to the farm in a while. (Some, a decade or more.) We’re so glad to welcome you back! It’s times like these that remind us all of the importance pure food plays in our health. Pure food is medicine!
You may have noticed that we’re running low on some products in the farm store. This is true. Because we’re a seasonal farm, we only harvest certain things at certain times of the year. For instance, we’re running really low on pork, but won’t butcher pork again until June. We are running low on butter and won’t be able to make more for 6-8 weeks.
But here’s the bottom line:
Even though we may run out of some products, there will always be food to choose from at Jako Farm.
There is plenty of chicken at Jako Farm. We have more than enough lamb to go ’round. There’s a good supply of beef, even though we’re out of some cuts. And eggs? Shucks, the chickens don’t know there’s anything wrong with the world. They’re still laying like crazy.
Please know that we’re doing everything possible to provide food for everyone this season, and we’re working hard to ramp up production this spring and summer. It’s so exciting to see more and more people love and appreciate JakoPure food, and we want to raise enough for all!
In the meantime, if you want to know if specific products are in stock before you come to the farm, check our website for inventory (this is updated daily) or call 620-663-1470. We’ll be happy to help.

Are eggs being rationed?
So many people have asked if we’re rationing eggs, and the answer is NO! There are plenty of eggs to go around and the chickens are laying like champs. Please purchase as many as you like when you come to Jako Farm.

What we’re doing to stay clean and safe
At Jako Farm, we would love to walk with your food journey. We’ve fed picky eaters. We’ve managed food allergies and intolerances. We’ve heard so many stories and swapped so many food ideas and learned so much.
Whether you’re new to the idea of pure food or an old pro, you’re not alone. We’d love to hear your story and help make the journey a little easier.
If you’re in the Wichita metro area, one easy way we can help is through our Wichita food delivery. Every other Tuesday evening we meet members at a west Wichita and an east Wichita drop spot to deliver JakoPure food straight from the farm. We know we’re a bit of a drive, so let us do the drive for you. It’s one less thing off your plate. (If you’re not yet a member of the farm, see below for how to become a member and access all the great benefits of Jako Farm.)

Jako Farm featured in John Deere’s “The Furrow”
Soil health and sustainability are becoming more mainstream, and Jako Farm is helping to spread the word! This spring we were featured in John Deere’s magazine (along with several other farms) in an article dedicated to the benefits of regenerative agriculture. Read the full article here.
Onward toward spring!
