Let’s get outside…
One of our goals has been to find new ways for people to experience Jako Farm. Last winter we spent a lot of time dreaming and planning exciting events and activities to launch this summer and fall, but due to COVID-19, most of those plans are on hold. Fortunately, one of those new experiences is up and running and available to you now! We are so excited that Jako Farm now offers three HipCamp sites.
What is HipCamp? Think of it as the Airbnb of camping.
We provide a picnic table, a fire ring, and the land. You come with your tent or camper and a yearning for some time off the grid.
We have three camp sites to offer.

Cottonwoods #1 and Cottonwoods #2 are primitive campsites along the Arkansas River. Pitch your tent and get ready for some solitude. Site #2 offers great beach access to the river.

The third, Beside the Silo at Jako Farm, allows you to pitch your tent or relax in your camper while watching cows grazing in the distance. This site has electrical hookup and access to the bathroom in the barn.
Why Camping at Jako Farm?
1. We believe in the power of humans connecting with the earth. Simply put, we need nature because we ARE part of nature. We are human animals and have an innate need to connect with nature. As we live in our fast-paced world, it is easy to forget that reality.
2. While you know this farm as Jako Farm, it has been known as the King Farm for 99 years. The three generations prior to Daniel created a noteworthy legacy of hospitality. We want to carry on that tradition, not out of obligation, but because we also believe in humans extending hospitality and generosity towards others.
3. Experiences create memories. Five years from now you probably won’t remember if you stayed at home and binged your favorite TV show. You will remember if you took the time to go camping. We want to offer a space for personal self-care, a family getaway, or just an escape from all the chaos.

The HipCamp experience is not a farm tour or an all-access pass. This is our way of offering you a space to relax and unwind in an off the grid environment. Happy Camping!
From all of us at Jako Farm,
Robyn
